Update: Weekend Filming Successful
A cold weekend, but warm spirits
PLOTCEBO HQ, Mo. (Nov. 18, 2002)--Spirits are high after
another weekend of successful filming. Quantity-wise, it
was not exactly our best shooting experience. However,
everyone left Sunday with a grin on their face, and
that's all that matters. We had a great time and shot
some good stuff.
Saturday morning started low. Depressed about our lack of
actors available, we resorted to scouting locations and
shooting filler shots. Despite the fact that temperatures
were barely above freezing, we ran around neighborhoods,
decrepit bridges, golf courses, and even office buildings.
At one point Thaddeus sat on top of John's moving car in
order to get a fluid shot of the bridge. Everyone left in
one piece, and the only things that were hurt were our
feelings after being kicked off the greens.
What truly topped the weekend was the support from friends
who were new to our Plotcebo-thang [sic]. We abducted a
friend from out-of-town who helped us wrangle up a few
more friends. Enough actors showed up on Sunday to help
shoot some crowd shots and just have a great time.
Several passerbyers honked and shouted their support as
we filmed on location in Cosmo Park. The sky was
cloudless which allowed for incredibly bright and
colorful shots that are just beautiful. Even a day
later, we still bask in its glow.
Then John got pulled over by the authorities for expired
plates. Go us.
